Birthday crown! +1 cute!

Elara is turning 1 a week from today! I can't belive she is one already! Time flies so fast! So I thought I would crochet her a tiara to wear since the one we bought for her won't stay on her head for longer then a minute. I'm using the Crochet Crown/Necklace pattern by Melissa "Missa" Hills. And I'm using Bright Frickin Pink (the technical term) yarn. It is Lion Brand Microspun in Fuchsia. It is going to be adorable. I don't have any pictures of it yet but here is a picture of Elara in the crown that won't stay on:

Just wanted want to share a picture I got from a friend the other day of our wedding cake. We had the most bitchin' toppers ever! A giant D20 and a ball of yarn with tiny knitting needles!

Wow! My first one!

I made a major decision today. I'm not going to buy anymore yarn for a while. Big huh! Johnny was really surprised. Pleased, but surprised. Johnny, Elara and I all need new scarves, and gloves. They need new hats and I just want a new hat... imagine that. I was online looking for patterns to make these lovely winter items and I was thinking what kind of yarn I was going to get for each one and was getting all excited when it dawned on me. I keep buying yarn and I keep buying yarn, but i never do anything with it because when I decide to do a specific pattern, I go buy more yarn for it! I I decided to chose my patterns to match yarns that I already have and to use up at least half of my stash before I get more. It will be great for our budget! I probably won't need to get any needles or crochet hooks for a while to, I have just about ever size you could want! Johnny got me the beautiful Interchangeable Harmony wood needle set for Christmas last year! (I kinda picked it out, and a Ton of yarn to go with them....) They are so pretty and knit amazingly!

So I have decided to to make myself the Stolen Moments Wrap by Amy Swenson. I found the pattern on my new Ravelry account. (I love Ravelry btw) It is a simple lace wrap, I'm making it out of Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Bulky in Blackberry. One of the Christmas yarns. That is it in the picture of the needles. I really like how it is turning out so far. I can't wait to finish it and have it blocked!
Now I just need to pick the other patterns, I have had a good time going through all my yarn to figure out what I have and what I can do. I have lots of purple yarn...Elara gets purple!~
